Celebrating Anatolian Roots Through the Lens of Neo-Psychedelia

Miskinler is a supergroup from Istanbul, consisting of some of the most established names from the city's vibrant music scene. Embracing Anatolian aesthetics, Miskinler follows a route of luminous psychedelia, combined with solid musicianship.
After spending hours in the studio throughout 2024, Miskinler started to record their original compositions, swiftly followed by a record deal with Rainbow Records to release the tracks as maxi singles. Their first 7” single, "Aşkın Sahtesi / O Yâre," was released in June 2024 and immediately received positive appraisal from the audience and critics. It will be followed by the next 7” single, "Duy Beni / Kervansaray," set to be released in December 2024.
The sound of Miskinler is nourished comprehensively by the cultural elements from their geographical origins. Not only does it capture the Anatolian progress of sound but it also reflects its history, with lyrics describing precedents from rural life captured in tradition. The folk elements create a mystical image centered in their sound, supported by captivating beats and colorful melodies. Band’s shared inspirations include Erkin Koray, Moğollar, Santana, The Beatles and Psychedelia & Funk flavored Rock Music from every era.
