Miskinler is an Istanbul-based band that brings together Anatolian melodies, psychedelic elements, and dance-driven rhythms. Rooted in tradition yet shaped by a contemporary musical language, the band stands out with its groove-based psychedelic approach, prolific output, and strong live performances. Following the release of two 7-inch singles, Miskinler released the EP Dum Duma and is now preparing its debut full-length LP for September 2026. At the core of Miskinler’s sound is a contemporary interpretation of Anatolian psychedelia. Inspired by the experimental spirit of 1960s and 1970s Anatolian pop and folk traditions, the band reworks these influences through psychedelic rock, groove-driven rhythms, and an approach that is distinctly its own. Rather than reproducing the past, Miskinler builds on it by creating original compositions that bring together Anatolian music and a contemporary musical identity. Miskinler’s music is built on rhythm, groove, and dance. The band creates a sound that invites the audience to move, respond, and become part of the performance. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Moğollar, Erkin Koray, Santana, Barış Manço, Funkadelic, and Prince, Miskinler combines Anatolian melodic structures with psychedelic and funk-influenced elements to create a sound of its own. Live performance is one of Miskinler’s defining strengths. On stage, the band creates a collective atmosphere shaped by energy and flow. Their concerts create an experience centered on energy, dance, and the direct connection between band and audience. This live energy is reinforced by the close musical communication and strong synergy between the members. So far, Miskinler has released 7-inch singles Aşkın Sahtesi / O Yâre and Duy Beni / Kervansaray. Built on original compositions, self-shaped production, and a flexible musical language that can stretch in different directions, Miskinler continues to develop a distinctive sound of its own.
